I did not realize that these had no sides at all. They only have the top and bottom.

I don't know why no one else shares this experience, but I've found that the bare steelbook makes a very loose fit, it falls right through it. On the other hand, the intended use case with the J-card is an extremely tight fit that causes excessive friction. The size only works well with a steelbook and a cardboard card on the back, such as the Studio Ghibli steelbooks. Also, the slipcases don't hold the rectangular shape, one side always bows out, unless it is pressed with the steelbook inside it under a heavy object until it conforms. I really wanted to like these given all the reviews, but they don't work with 90% of my steelbooks, with or without the J-card.

They look a little goofy up close sometimes on the shelf but are completely what I wanted. Good product

Great protection, love these products!

These have been a great addition to my media collection. It's much easier to get steelbooks in and out of them than with the fully enclosed sleeves, but they still offer excellent protection for the larger steelbook surfaces.

Third time ordering these Side-Load protectors. Best investment I have made. Easy to use and great for my collection

About 1/8 of an inch too big! They fall out not even close to a slip fit

I’ve been a fan of Malko protectors for a while, but mostly for older items I don’t handle very often. The older designs were a little impractical for anything I wanted to access easily because of the tabs. These new side-load protectors completely change that. Vinyl records have had sleeves for years that protect without getting in the way, so it’s great to finally see that same idea applied to Blu-rays. I’ve already bought over 100 of these for steelbooks, slipcovers, and standard blu rays, and I’ll absolutely be buying more. Highly recommend.
